Soujanya Madhusudan
Soujanya Madhusudan hails from South India and received her Vidwat (Proficiency) degree in the field of Bharatanatyam - A South Indian classical dance form, in the year 2000. She is an accomplished performing artist, choreographer and a teacher experienced in this field for more than 20 years. She is the Associate Director of Bharathadarshana-School of Dance and Music, established in the year 1988 and has been imparting this art form in the world-renowned Kalakshetra style. Soujanya teaches this art form to aspiring students and conducts weekly classes in Exton, PA. Apart from performing in India, she has also performed during several occasions in PA, NJ & DE. Her special interest in teaching young children drew her to choreograph “Sambhavami yuge yuge”, a 2 hour thematic dance presentation that included more than 400 children between Grades 1 to 5, which was a successful attempt to relate Dashavatara of Hindu Mythology and Darwin’s theory of evolution.
