We at the Chester County Art Association have our hands full this year. Luckily, we have many talented, bright and dedicated people who are working together to meet our challenges in the next couple of years. At the same time, we will be providing the same excellent educational, outreach and exhibition programs that we have become famous for. As newly elected President of the Board of Directors, I am looking forward to working with a diverse board and attentive staff to meet the needs of the art community in Chester County and beyond. One of those great challenges is planning for the construction of a new building at our site which will lead us into the 21st century and the changes that the new millennium will bring.
Since its inception in 1931, the Chester County Art Association has involved people of all ages, talent levels and aspirations in its initiatives. Not only do I appreciate art for its beauty and ability to communicate ideas, but also for the energy it infuses in both the creator and the viewer. The role of CCAA is to be a conduit for creation and to make art available for everyone. Merging our vision with a facility that will promote the growth of ideas and the creative process, will be a great challenge indeed. I am, therefore, honored to lead an organization responsible for bringing this wealth of experience to our county residents.
